MMC #1 is Hiring a FACILITIES TECHNICIAN Near MEADVILLE, PA

JOB DUTIES

Maintains repairs and installs equipment components through established preventative maintenance (PM) and work order process as assigned.

Installs, maintains and repairs sinks, toilets, hot shot’s and other plumbing fixtures.

Ensures regulatory compliance through efficient equipment operation.

Completes all documentation as required.

Assists with repair, testing and inspection of fire safety, life safety, communication and electrical components of the utility and safety systems.

Perform maintenance assignments in any facility area as directed.

Perform work in conformance with regulatory, licensing and other adopted standards.

Conducts tests, inspections and equipment checks on equipment in inventory prior to placing into service at any system facility site, ensuring compliance with all applicable code requirements and standards.

Install machinery, including air conditioners, water coolers and other as required.

Perform assigned work orders through established process in a timely manner.

Follow established policies and procedures with strict adherence to safety rules.

Knowledgeable of and exhibits willingness to implement lock-out tag-out procedures as required.

 SPECIFIC JOB DEMANDS

Strength: Heavy Work -Lifting, Carrying, Pushing, Pulling 50 - 100 Lbs. occasionally, 20 - 50 Lbs. frequently, 10 - 20 Lbs. constantly.

Climbing: Occasionally - Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles, and the like, using feet, and legs or hands and arms. Body agility is important.

Stooping: Frequently - Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist, requiring full use of the lower extremities and back muscles.

Kneeling: Frequently - Bending legs at knees to come to rest on knee or knees.

Crouching: Frequently - Bending body downward and forward by bending legs and spine.

Reaching: Frequently - Extending hand(s) or arm(s) in any direction.

Handling: Frequently - Seizing, holding, grasping, turning, or otherwise working with hand or hands. Fingers are involved only to the extent that they are an extension of the hand, such as to turn a switch or shift automobile gears.

Talking: Occasionally - Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word to impart oral information to clients or to the public and to convey detailed spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly.

Hearing: Occasionally - Perceiving the nature of sounds by ear.

Near Acuity: Occasionally - Clarity of vision at 20 inches or less.

MINIMUM EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

 High school diploma or equivalent gained through previous experience. Use of personal vehicle with mileage reimbursement provided is required. Must be a safe, licensed, insured driver in the state of Pennsylvania and current evidence of same must be on file at all times.

Boiler technician with plumbing experience.

 Ability to use independent judgment, working with minimal supervision.
